XPRAG.it is a research network that was founded in 2017, with the aim of providing an Italian venue for discussing – at the international level - empirical research on pragmatic processing
The XPRAG.IT network carries out research in the field of experimental Pragmatics. The latter is an area of linguistic, psycholinguistic, philosophical and neurolinguistic investigation that aims at studying with experimental methods how speakers use language in context.
Research fields encompass, among others, the acquisition of pragmatic and mind-reading abilities, behavioral and neural data on pragmatic processing, patients studies on pragmatic abilities, processing presuppositions, the processing of figurative language and cognitive approaches to pragmatics.
